Death Koala of the Malestrom

This piece was made for Seventh Sanctum's [link] Monster Madness contest.
I used the Humorous Monster Generator and got the result Death Koala of the Malestrom.

I am still wondering what a malestrom is... I almost made the water a maelstrom because that was what I read it as at first.
I gave it tentacles because it's lovecraftian, 'nuff said.
